Chicago, where we will tour the new Modern and Contemporary art wing of the Chicago Art Institute designed by Renzo Piano that just opened in May 2009. We will also have an architecture tour and visit private collections, museums, and artist studios in and around the Chicago area. Finally, we will drive north to visit the Milwaukee Art Museum. We will be visiting historical India while focusing on contemporary art and architecture in the country. We will finish off with a little R & R and touring in an incredible hotel owned by contemporary art collectors, near Udaipur, Rajasthan. Denver Tour
Summer 2011 - Dates Tentative
An artistic renaissance in Denver has been taking place with the Daniel Libeskind-designed wing of the Denver Art Museum, which opened in the fall of 2006, the new Denver Contemporary Art Museum, which opened in 2007, and the new Clifford Still Museum, which is scheduled to open at then end of 2010. We will visit these museums, the hot River North Art District (Rino), private collections, and artist studios.
